Our Mission

At Squirrel Savings Bank, we believe financial literacy should be fun, accessible, and inspiring. Since 2012, we've helped thousands of children, families, and young adults develop smart money habits by following nature's example - just like squirrels prepare for winter, we help people prepare for their financial futures.

Meet Our Team

Jane Bellota

Founder & Executive Director

Founded SSB in 2012 after being inspired by squirrels in her local park. With economics background and a decade in financial education, Jane has grown the organization from local initiative to national program.

Michael Rodriguez

Program Director

12+ years in educational program development. Oversees day-to-day operations and program quality across all communities. Expanded Nutty for Numbers to reach over 12,000 teens.

Sarah Chen

Development Coordinator

Joined in 2020, growing annual revenue by 40%. Builds relationships with major donors and foundation partners. Organizes The Great Acorn Race community events.

Alex Bellota

Activities Coordinator (Part-time)

Jane's nephew who left Wharton to pursue Elementary Education. Brings fresh energy and tech integration to the Acorn for a Rainy Day program.
